Gratitude!

Life happens and whether we think an event is shit or shift, it’s only our perception and perspective. While it may seem obvious that an event, experience or circumstance is negative, there’s ALWAYS something positive we can focus on IF WE CHOOSE!

Try this experiment: Pick something unpleasant in your life and see if you can notice something positive in a situation that's apparently intolerable. If you can't find anything, make something up. If you can't even do that, just observe your resistance. Now go back and forth, switching perspectives, slowly at first and then more and more rapidly, between negative (or the resistance) and positive. Eventually you'll find that there are no facts, that what happens to us is not really what makes us happy or sad, that it's all a matter of choice and at any moment, a half empty glass can instantly be perceived as half full. : )
